Bitcoin re-staking project BounceBit has integrated Ondo Finance’s tokenized real-world assets into its CeDeFi V2 platform.
The collaboration signifies a significant move towards BounceBit’s vision for 2025, which aims to merge real-world assets with decentralized finance to create institutional-grade yield opportunities, according to a BouneBit update.
Real-world asset tokenization is the process of creating blockchain-based digital tokens that represent ownership or shares of physical or financial assets like real estate, commodities, or bonds.
Ondo Finance and tokenization
Ondo Finance (ONDO), known for its tokenized US Treasuries, contributes over $600 million in total value locked across various blockchains into BounceBit’s ecosystem. The USDY vault, which is supported by US Treasuries, offers non-US users variable interest rates and daily liquidity.
Recently, Wellington Management partnered with Ondo Finance to enhance liquidity for its tokenized U.S. Treasury Fund, which enables blockchain-based digital representations of Treasury bond shares. This initiative integrates traditional financial assets onto the blockchain for easier access and management.
The USDY vault boasts institutional-grade security and adjusts interest rates monthly, reflecting BounceBit’s dedication to providing dependable financial products.
